Elysian at Centennial Hills Project w/ Lawrence Lake InteriorsArizona Game Rooms was tasked by one of our clients, a well know design firm, Lawrence Lake Interiors (LLI), to design and build a custom game table collection for a new development in an up and coming affluent suburb of Las Vegas, NV called Elysian at Centennial Hills. Recognizing the importance of creating engaging spaces, Lawrence Lake Interiors decided to enhance the clubhouse with custom game room amenities that would bring their final vision for the project to light. We worked closely with their team to decide on which products to provide, a general style, the materials and finishes, in order to build a custom collection that would compliment the overall geometric look and abstract furnishings that they already chose for this project. We decided to go with an 8' pool table, a 12' shuffleboard, and 2 upright arcade games. I sketched a few designs, not really my strong point but they captured the gist of it. Once that part was out of the way, we then moved on to the R&D of the games. We worked out the actual structural design, and then we began the production process. Over the next few weeks, I watched my team of woodworkers build and begin to erect the game tables, which in my opinion was the fun part. Throughout this process, I provided several progress updates to the LLI team and they were very happy of how it was progressing. During this time, In addition to our part of this project, Larry, the founder of LLI, wanted to truly personalize the pool table by utilizing a close friend of his, and artist, to design a custom image to have us print on the billiard cloth. This was exciting to me because it was going to add another level of uniqueness to compliment our part of the project. Several weeks passed and the new concept finally came to fruition. When the clubhouse opened its doors, residents flocked to the innovative space, thrilled to explore the new amenities. The sound of billiard balls clinking together, mixed with laughter and friendly banter filled the room, while others gathered around the shuffleboard laughed as their cohorts, shuffleboard weights fell of off the playfield, then continued strategizing their next moves. The arcade machine quickly became a favorite, sparking nostalgia and fun as residents competed for the highest scores on PacMan, and the nostalgic sounds of vintage arcade games in the background. Thanks to the thoughtful design of Lawrence Lake Interiors and Arizona Game Rooms, the Elysian at Centennial Hills Apartments' clubhouse bloomed into a lively gathering place, successfully fostering a sense of community and camaraderie among new neighbors. It was a perfect example of how well-designed spaces and quality furnishings can enhance the living experience in a luxury apartment community. I would like to thank Larry, Renee, Miguel, and the rest of the LLI Team for trusting me to be a part of this project.
